Filigree is always a detail that I have loved. All the pretty lace like designs remind me of Victorian days when things seemed romantic. These colors on this design stand out in almost a 3-D affect, some of these you just have to see in person.

This egg may look familiar to some, it should. It was from the latest contest, one of the lucky winners received this egg. I was very happy that they liked it. I always love the feeling that comes along with someone enjoying what I have made. When I started making these eggs it took me such a long time you would not have been able to separate me from one. Then I started giving them as gifts. When I had heard many “you should sell these” comments, I finally decided to. I always love to hear the comments of happy customer’s stories about how their friend or family member really liked the egg, especially when they hear the way they are made. Besides, who doesn’t like to hear someone is happy with the work they have done?

Roses of different sizes are unique.

If you wish to find a gift for that special someone, these rose eggs make a wonderful idea.

On the left is a chicken egg $25.00

On the right is a goose egg $40.00

This shows the difference is size. A lot of people have never seen or held a goose egg, they are much larger, the chicken egg is a jumbo size. Goose eggs are longer and larger around, most measure 9 inches from top to bottom and back up again. If you wish to order a goose egg, please allow 3 weeks for processing time, as they are not always in stock. Goose egg take considerably longer to design as they are much larger, drawing with wax takes more time then pen or paint, it is a different medium.

Roses are Red, some are more distinct then others.

If you need a unique gift for that special someone, roses are always good. Even though they are not my favorite flower I love how this turned out. Lillis are my favorite. Flowers with detail are a new thing for me to try, drawing with wax has ways of not letting you do certain things and if you mess up it is there to stay. You can not erase wax, which keeps the dye off of the egg, so being careful when doing an egg takes time and practice.
